The teen actor said saying bye to his character Jacob Black as well as his co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson wasn’t an easy thing to do.
As Twilight nears the end of its movie run, one of the biggest stars of the series admits that saying goodbye was an extremely tough thing to do.
Twihards still have one the final instalment to look forward to – but for the stars of the movies, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, the excitement of shooting the movies has come to an end.

The actor, and screening attendees, were subjected to screaming cat calls inside the Nokia Theatre.
This item first appeared in the Rambling Reporter column of the Dec. 2 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.
Fans always have been a staple of movie premieres, shrieking and even fainting from their perch safely behind the red carpet. But bowing to the audience’s desire to interact more closely with their idols, studios in recent years have increasingly invited select die-hards inside the barricades.

The actor opens up to THR.com editor Joseph Kapsch about the penultimate film in the franchise, which opened to a whopping $283.5 million over the weekend.
Moviegoers watched Taylor Lautner put his impressive martial arts and stunt skills to work in Lionsgate’s action thriller Abduction. And Twihards have been wooed by his ripped physique as uberpopular werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga series. But it was Breaking Dawn — Part I’s pivotal “imprinting scene” that the actor admitted was one of the most challenging scenes he’s tackled.
“It was tough, it was probably the most challenging for me because first, you have to get a hold of what imprinting is and what it means,” Lautner told The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the film’s massive $283.5 million worldwide opening over the weekend. “And thankfully, we had [Twilight book series author] Stephenie Meyer on the set all the time, so trust me, we had a lot of conversations with her about that.”

The Breaking Dawn star says he and his costar really are good friends and dishes on who’s the most romantic cast member
For the past few years, Taylor Lautner has been pining away (on camera, that is) for his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart. And even though his character Jacob Black never gets the girl, he and Stewart have developed a very real off-camera friendship.
“We’re like family,” Lautner, who reportedly split recently with actress Lily Collins in real life, tells iVillage about his relationship with Stewart. “Sometimes we just catch ourselves being ourselves and having fun on set — and cameras just happen to be rolling. So there are a lot of moments where we’re just laughing as Taylor and Kristen, and you know, people are watching it as Jacob and Bella.”
The 19-year-old actor, who stars in Breaking Dawn — Part 1 (in theaters Nov. 18), also addressed the fairytale wedding scene that set the romantic tone for the film. So which of his costars is the most romantic off screen?
“I would definitely go with one of the girls — Nikki (Reed), Ashley (Greene), Kristen (Stewart),” Lautner says. “Everyone’s romantic. We’re just hopeless romantics.”
Watch our exclusive video interview to find out what Lautner will miss the least after Twilight’s over — and why he says the good parts of fame definitely outweigh the bad.
